Washington: I joined the military to serve my country and also to follow the path many of my family members had traveled.

1851: What was the most valuable thing your military experience taught you? &nbsp;

Washington: I learned many lessons in the military but the most valuable was learning how a strong team can achieve almost anything. 

1851: How did your military service prepare you for franchising? &nbsp;

Washington: It taught me management, team building and a sense of winning.

1851: What is it about Assisting Hands Home Care that attracted you to the brand? 

Washington: For one, the ability to help people in my civilian life and the biggest draw was that this franchise tries to operate as a family. Those that come into their circle receive support and open arms.

1851: What advice would you give to veterans who are looking to get into franchising? &nbsp;

Washington: I would say to definitely do your research. Find something that you truly want to do. Find a franchise that believes in the same core values you believe in. 

1851: What does franchising mean to you? 

Washington: Franchising for me means that I will have support while I begin my journey as an owner and a leader in my community.

1851: What would you like to achieve in franchising within the next 5 years? In 10?

Washington: In the next 5 years I will definitely have a strong impact in my community. By the 10 year mark, I should have expanded to connecting areas and have made our name a beacon for great care and service.
