The Cheesecake Factory started offering a promotion through DoorDash on Wednesday, and some ensuing chaos resulted in one arrest at an Arlington, Virginia restaurant, according to <a href="https://www.arlnow.com/2018/12/05/developing-large-crowd-reported-at-clarendon-cheesecake-factory-amid-free-cheesecake-promotion/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=a-cheesecake-factory-doordash-promotion-went-very-very-wrong-2708627" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" style="text-decoration-line:none" target="_blank">an Arlington Now report</a>.

The dining chain is celebrating its 40th anniversary by giving away 40,000 free slices of cheesecake from December 5-11 across the country. Customers must order the cheesecake through DoorDash using a promo code, which resulted in an influx of DoorDash drivers in the area around the Arlington restaurant, plus additional crowd-related chaos inside of it, according to the article. 

At one point, a man was asked by police to leave the restaurant and refused and was arrested, according to the article. 

An Arlington County Police spokeswoman described the scene as &ldquo;a little hectic,&rdquo; according to the article.
