Acai Express, a Puerto Rican-based lifestyle brand, is expanding in the United States via franchising and has awarded two new franchises, according to a report in QSR magazine.

The brand currently has 13 locations in Puerto Rico and one in Cocoa Beach, Florida, and offers high-quality alternatives to fast food. The two new locations will be in Denver, Colorado and Rockaway Township, New Jersey, and the deals were signed shortly after the brand entered the U.S. market in May of 2018, according to QSR.

"The preference for a healthy lifestyle and the demand for a super food based diet has never been stronger,” Acai Express founder Hector Westerband said, according to the article.
