AdAge: Instagram Tests Direct Response Ads in Stories

In another move to challenge Snapchat, Instagram introduces direct response ads in Stories.

Instagram is not done adding features to its Stories section. According to a recent AdAge article, the photo sharing app is testing direct response ads for Instagram Stories, which will allow sign-ups and app-install ads, along with other formats. One ad being tested for e-payment device company SumUp asked users to swipe up to sign up for the brand’s service.

Direct-response ads are yet another category that Instagram hopes to challenge Snapchat in. After copying Snapchat Stories last August and sponsored videos in March, it is no surprise that the battle continues. Brands are testing out ads on both platforms since ads in Stories are considered more enticing.
