It is not the first time a social network has copied a feature from a different social network, and it won’t be the last. According to a recent AdAge article, LinkedIn has rolled out native video so that users can upload videos directly from their phones that will automatically play without sound when posted. LinkedIn will start to look a lot more like Facebook in the next few weeks.

"Live video is an interesting possibility down the road because it helps people add a whole different dimension," said Pete Davies, group product manager at LinkedIn. "There aren't plans today, but there are a lot of interesting features that we're going to look at."

LinkedIn is promoting this new feature as a way for CEOs to show off the workplace including culture to increase recruiting efforts. Tutorials and behind-the-scenes content are also some of the top videos being shared. The company has hinted at a paid component and promoting of video posts.
