The presidential nominee tries to bring some humor into her marketing strategy.
Hillary Clinton decided to take a stab at using humor in her presidential campaign, and it worked. According to a recent Adweek article, her interview on Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis may be some of her best marketing material so far for the presidential election.
“I really regret doing this,” Clinton mentions in the middle of the interview as Galifianakis digs into the candidate on everything from pregnancy in the White House, losing the Scott Baio vote, and her pant suits. “Are you down with TPP,” brings President Obama into the interview, referring to his Trans-Pacific Partnership and her stance on it.
Of course there was no shortage of Trump jokes throughout their chat with Galifianakis, including a commercial for Trump that interrupted the interview as message from the show’s sponsor.
Last but certainly not least, Galifianakis couldn’t end the show without a good dig about her email. “Well this has been a lot of fun Mrs. Clinton--we should stay in touch. What’s the best way to reach you? Email?”
