Adweek: Snapchat Is Twice as Popular as Instagram When It Comes to Teens’ Favorite Social Apps

A study found that 47% of teenagers prefer Snapchat over Instagram.

While Instagram has adopted several of the features that Snapchat is known for, the social media platform remains less popular with teens. According to a recent article in Adweek, a study found that 47% of teenagers prefer Snapchat over Instagram.

The study also found that the demographic prefers Spotify and Apple Music over Pandora. Last year, nearly 50% of teens said that they listened to Pandora, while this year the number has fallen to  35%. 

Other finding included a preference for streaming over linear television, the popularity of Amazon as a retailer and 82% of teens planning on their next cell phone being an iPhone.
