Amazon has decided to open up two new headquarters - one in New York City and the other in the Washington, D.C. area, according <a href="https://www.npr.org/2018/11/13/665646050/amazons-grand-search-for-2nd-headquarters-ends-with-split-nyc-and-d-c-suburb?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=amazon-chooses-new-york-city-dc-area-for-additional-headquarters-2708433" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" style="text-decoration-line:none" target="_blank">to an NPR report</a>. 

One new headquarters will be located in Long Island City, a neighborhood in the New York City borough of Queens.

The other new headquarters will be located close to Washington, D.C. in the Arlington, Virginia neighborhood of Crystal City. 

&quot;We can recruit more top talent by being in two locations,&rdquo; the company said in a statement, according to NPR. &ldquo;These are fantastic cities that attract a lot of great talent.&quot;

Amazon also announced plans to open an operations center in Nashville, according to the report.
