Upscale craft beer bar opens first Maryland location in the heart of Mid-Town, Charm City.

On Monday, The Brass Tap will open doors to it's first Maryland location, in the heart of Mid-Town.
The upscale craft beer bar will also offer cocktails, wine and a full menu, but craft beer is the focus with 60 draft varieties and 118 bottled and canned brews. In fact, over half of the draft beers originate within three hours of Baltimore, says local owner Barry Lowenthal, who will operate the bar alongside his wife, Pauline and brother, Michael.
With a prime location, a seasonal outdoor patio and an elevated feel, the Lowenthal's hope to bring a new kind of establishment to Baltimore's growing community of beer enthusiasts with their Brass Tap.
“I think there are folks for whom a taproom is just not an attractive scene,” Lowenthal said to the publication. “Hopefully we can be the kind of place that is more comfortable for them.”
