Vermont-based ice cream brand <a href="https://www.benjerry.com/scoop-shops/franchise?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=ben-jerrys-announces-matthew-mccarthy-as-new-ceo-2707517" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" style="text-decoration-line:none" target="_blank">Ben &amp; Jerry&rsquo;s</a> is under new leadership. The ice cream maker introduced Matthew McCarthy as CEO <a href="https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/ben--jerrys-introduces-new-ceo-300697577.html?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=ben-jerrys-announces-matthew-mccarthy-as-new-ceo-2707517" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" style="text-decoration-line:none" target="_blank">in a news release on Wednesday</a>, though according to the company, he has served in the role since the beginning of July. McCarthy joins Ben &amp; Jerry&rsquo;s from its parent company, Unilever, where he worked as a marketing executive focused on social impact for 21 years. He succeeds Jostein Solheim, who had been in the role since 2010. Ben &amp; Jerry&rsquo;s says McCarthy plans to lead the brand forward by &quot;doubling its social impact,&quot; while continuing its focus on a quality product, growing profits and community involvement.
