Best in Class Education Center (Best in Class), a supplemental education franchise, has kicked off its 20th year with strong Q1 growth and a clear path to achieve its 2014 goal of adding 20 new centers. “We are pleased with the way this year has started and look forward to maintaining the momentum throughout the year so we can continue to make our services available to students in new markets across the country,” said CEO and Chairman Hao Lam. In March, Best in Class opened two new locations, one in Elk Grove, Calif. and the other in Reno, Nev., which were previously untapped markets. The company is also in current negotiations for up to 10 new centers in the states of Texas, California, Oregon, and Washington.  Executive team members expect anywhere from six to 10 of these centers to open their doors by the end of the third quarter, placing the company over the half-way threshold with regard to the growth goal for the year. “With the movement in the education landscape such as the new common core standards being adopted in 46 states and the new revisions that were made this year to the SAT, our services are in demand now more than ever,” said Hao Lam. “We have no shortage of professionals who are passionate about education and helping students navigate through these types of changes, and we are confident that our Best in Class family will only continue to grow.” Best in Class is not only growing in footprint size, but also adding valuable industry experts to its corporate team. The executive team has welcomed Sharon Peterson, who will serve as the company’s new Franchise Sales Director. Sharon will be responsible for growing the Best in Class brand across the country and creating brand awareness throughout both existing and previously untapped geographic regions.  Sharon brings with her eight years of sales industry experience and most recently played an integral role in growing a well-known food franchise. Sharon is excited about becoming part of the Best in Class family and says, “By witnessing the team’s passion and dedication to the brand and what they’ve accomplished on the west coast, I truly understand why this brand has been so successful. I am really looking forward to helping continue to spread this passion for educating our children.” Best in Class is a top-tier educational center that has built a curriculum around strong critical-thought. The program highlights math and English education and coaches students in supplemental and remedial core-education as well as standardized test preparation. Lam has led his team in developing the Best in Class program that emphasizes student mastery and long-term retention and, as a result, academic success both in and out of the classroom. The brand is focused on the states of California and Texas for further development. With capacity for anywhere from 23 to 31 additional units in California including markets such as Los Angeles, San Francisco, and San Jose, and capacity for 22 to 28 additional units in Texas including markets such as Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, and Houston, the brand has plenty of available territory to add qualified and dedicated franchisees to the system.
