Birmingham Business Journal: Smoothing King Looking to Build New Concept Store in Birmingham
Smoothing King is putting its stamp on Birmingham.
Local Smoothie King franchisees Brett Lawson and Eric Grush are preparing to open their first Smoothie King location at the Galleria mall in Hoover, Alabama, next month. Earlier this year, the business duo announced they wanted to bring several locations to Birmingham after signing a five-unit deal with the Metairie, Louisiana-based smoothie franchise.
"We're moving along," Lawson told the Birmingham Business Journal regarding its 300-square-foot location inside the Galleria's food court. "We've started construction."
With the first location opening by late August, the two entrepreneurs are looking at other areas for future locations.
"We are still scouting and trying to find sites within our given territory," Lawson told The Birmingham Business Journal. "We would love to be able to open one up in Birmingham.”
