Boo! Krispy Kreme Debuts Monster Doughnuts Arrive Just In Time for Halloween

Get ready for your next Krispy Kreme doughnut to be scary good.

Krispy Kreme is getting into the spooky spirit this Halloween with its “Monster Batch” doughnut collection. The one-eyed goblins are creeping into stores nationwide Monday, October 7, according to Us Weekly

The collection consists of three edible monsters––Slimon, Mumford and Hypno-Henry––which all look ghoulishly good enough to eat. With Halloween parties in and out of the office underway, Krispy Kreme wanted to provide party-goers with a Halloween-themed treat that could steal the show from even the Bride of Frankenstein.

“Slimon and his cycloptic friends are looking to slime and sweeten Halloween parties throughout October,” said Krispy Kreme’s Chief Marketing Officer Dave Skena, according to the article. “We are asking everyone to keep an eye out for these mischievous monsters and eat them. Because they are scary good.”

Guests who wear a costume on Thursday, October 31 will get a free Krispy Kreme doughnut of their choice. Krispy Kreme isn’t the only restaurant getting in the holiday spirit this October. Applebees just announced it’s $1 drink this month is “The Vampire,” which comes with fangs too boot. IHOP also recently introduced its Addam’s Family-inspired menu that features items such as Morticia’s Haunted Hot Chocolate, Wednesday's Web-Cakes, Gomez’s Green Chili Omelette and Uncle Fester’s Chocolate Ice Scream Shake.

Halloween came to haunt some restaurants early this year and if you’re looking for a spook-tacular meal, you might want to give Krispy Kreme’s terrifying treats a try.
