"My younger brother is going to be helping out getting the business going as well," Rodriguez said. "I am hoping to get it to a stable amount where I don't need my regular 9-to-5 job and my brother can have something lucrative for himself. Maybe my young child can join one day as well."

For Rodriguez, that vision represents the real promise of entrepreneurship. "It's about making something that lasts," she said.
