Franchise Bible Coach Radio: How Beef ‘O’ Brady’s Quickly Rolled Out New Strategies to Adapt to COVID-19
The family sports pub franchise was able to rapidly innovate its entire operational process to take steps towards sales growth and company-wide recovery.
Jamie Cecil, Beef ‘O’Brady’s Vice President of Franchise Sales, was recently interviewed on The Franchise Bible Coach Radio Podcast to discuss how franchisors and franchise owners can make strategic plans to create profitability and operate efficiently as a post-COVID business.
In the podcast interview, Cecil offered solutions for dealing with the unknown future of the restaurant industry. “When this thing hit — day one — we went into immediate survival mode,” Cecil said. “The number one goal was to save and help our franchisees through this. Whether it was from a PPP loan or a marketing standpoint, we figured this stuff out.”
As a part of the Beef ‘O’ Brady’s team for the past six years, Cecil has overseen over 160 locations across the country and continues to launch new initiatives for the company. “After rolling out our family meal packs, it’s now a priority going forward because we think it's a great avenue for higher sales and serving our customers” she said.
Based on her experience and prediction for the future of Beef ‘O’ Brady’s, Cecil anticipates that the brand’s ability to adapt and overcome unprecedented challenges will continue to help franchisees evolve through aspects of the “new normal.”
“There’s not a playbook for this kind of stuff, but that’s why I love the restaurant industry,” Cecil said. “One of our franchisees recently opened a grocery store. Some servers became delivery drivers too.”
