The investment firm’s acquisition of the signage provider signals growing interest in franchise-focused infrastructure companies.

CapitalSpring, a private investment firm with a strong focus on the franchise and multi-location brand space, has announced the acquisition of Coast Sign LLC, a California-based manufacturer and service provider for exterior signage, Graphics Pro recently reported.
Based in Anaheim, Coast Sign has delivered signage solutions across North America for more than 60 years. The company specializes in turnkey services — including sign design, project management, permitting, manufacturing, installation and ongoing repair — and serves a wide range of industries such as restaurants, hotels, retail, health and entertainment.
With a 100,000-square-foot facility and a client base that includes numerous blue-chip brands, Coast Sign is positioned as a go-to partner for both franchised and independent operators.
CapitalSpring executives say Coast Sign’s ability to provide consistent, high-quality signage solutions across multiple locations made it a clear fit for the firm’s portfolio. “Having invested in more than 90 multi-location brands over the past two decades, CapitalSpring has a deep appreciation for how critical a reliable exterior signage manufacturer and servicer is to its customers,” said Managing Director Kaivon Abrishami.
Ernie Rivas, CEO of Coast Sign and a 30-year veteran of the company, called the acquisition “an exciting new chapter,” noting that CapitalSpring’s experience with multi-location businesses makes them an ideal partner for long-term expansion.
As the franchise sector continues to scale, investments like this one underscore the growing importance of operational partners that help national brands maintain consistency, quality and visibility across locations.
