During the conference, Cohen&nbsp;discussed what the brand looks for while determining restaurant investments and&nbsp;acquisitions&nbsp;and how data can play a major factor in the decision process.&nbsp;It was also&nbsp;mentioned that&nbsp;NRD&nbsp;Capital Management decided to hire a consulting firm to conduct a market study which ultimately helped identify the&nbsp;<a href="https://www.nrn.com/finance/what-data-catches-private-equity-s-eye?NL=NRN-010&amp%3BIssue=NRN-010_20190915_NRN-010_144&amp%3Bsfvc4enews=42&amp%3Bcl=article_1_b&amp%3Butm_rid=CPG06000000179713&amp%3Butm_campaign=33149&amp%3Butm_medium=email&amp%3Belq2=5a4a071b9ba8455c8bd9ea3cbf933c9a&utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=how-data-drives-restaurant-investments-2711072" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">root cause of the turnover</a>&nbsp;a brand was having.

&ldquo;It&rsquo;s very key with a lot of brands that we look at where there is a strong affinity to the brand and a loyal customer base, but the brand has outgrown the management team a little bit and needs some support. That&rsquo;s where it&rsquo;s nice to come in and kind of bring in an off-the-shelf-type playbook and run it with the brand,&quot;&nbsp;said Cohen.
