Chicago Tribune: Former Chicago Bears Tight End Now Cookie And Yogurt CEO
Colorado-based Famous Brands appoints former Chicago Bear as new CEO.
Life is looking pretty sweet after football for former Chicago Bear Dustin Lyman. According to a recent Chicago Tribune article, the 40-year-old former Bears tight end was named CEO of Famous Brands International, the parent company of Mrs. Fields Cookies and TCBY Yogurt.
In 2013, Lyman had joined the management team for the brand that was created by Z Capital Partners and had held "key financial positions" at Vail Resorts and Dish Network previously. He attended Wake Forest University and earned his MBA at University of Chicago once he had left the Bears and retired from football.
"Dustin is a natural leader that sets a high standard for himself and those around him. He has a winning mentality and a focused determination that motivates people," said Detroit Lions head coach Jim Caldwell, who coached Lyman at Wake Forest.
