The Chick-fil-A Foundation has donated millions of dollars to the three charities in previous years, but now the chicken QSR announced it’s going to donate almost $25,000 to a local food bank for each new Chick-fil-A location that opens, National Review said.&nbsp;“There’s no question we know that, as we go into new markets, we need to be clear about who we are,” said Chick-fil-A President and Chief Operating Officer Tim Tassopoulos in an interview with <a href="https://www.bisnow.com/national/news/retail/exclusive-amid-global-expansion-and-lgbt-pushback-chick-fil-a-changes-charitable-giving-structure-101818?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=chick-fil-a-stops-donating-to-christian-charities-after-backlash-from-lgbt-community-2711651" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Bisnow</a>. “There are lots of articles and newscasts about Chick-fil-A, and we thought we needed to be clear about our message.”<a href="https://1851franchise.com/facing-backlash-first-chick-fil-a-abroad-closes-after-only-eight-days--2711354">The chain has been under fire in the past</a> for its alleged stance on LGBT rights.
