According to a<a href="https://www.usatoday.com/story/money/nation-now/2018/10/24/chick-fil-testing-macaroni-and-cheese-menu-six-cities/1748303002/?utm_source=dlvr.it&amp%3Butm_medium=twitter&utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=chick-fil-a-tests-mac-cheese-offering-at-select-locations-2708286" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" style="text-decoration:none" target="_blank"> recent article in USA Today,</a> this test will serve as a way for the brand to assess the popularity of the item before determining if it will be added as a permanent fixture across the system.

The mac and cheese is available both as a single serve dish or as a catering tray. It is currently available in Baltimore, Greensboro, Houston, San Antonio, Nashville, and Phoenix. A representative for Chick-fil-a explained that the success of the test will determine if the item will be distributed nationwide.

The initial response to the dish on social media has been generally positive.
