Chipotle Free Guac: Chain to Celebrate National Avocado Day on July 31

In celebration of National Avocado Day on July 31, Chipotle is offering a free order of guacamole to customers who make an online or in-app entree purchase. The offer will not be available for in-store use.

"Our fresh, homemade guacamole has a massive fan following," Chipotle chief marketing officer Chris Brandt said in a press release. "We want to show our love for the avocado and reward our customers' guac obsession. Plus, it's a major bonus that you can skip the line when you order ahead with our app or at chipotle.com."

Customers who want to redeem this offer must create a Chipotle account, either in the company’s app or website. Then customers must select an entree and add guacamole as an add-on or as a side item or as part of a regular order of chips and guacamole. Customers must enter the promo code “AVOCADO” before checking out, and they can only use this promo code once.

Chipotle’s Twitter account has seen some positive responses to the announcement, with messages such as “Christmas has come early folks!” and “Coincidence this is on my birthday?” peppering the feed.
