Chipotle Mexican Grill’s head of food safety is retiring in 2019, according to a Bloomberg report.
James Marsden has held the role since he joined the company in 2016. The chain has started looking for his replacement, and Marsden is expected to step down in the second quarter of 2019, according to Bloomberg.
The news comes not long after the chain has battled many food poisoning incidents. Just last month, Chipotle announced that it would utilize the food technology platform Zenput to help with food safety, the article noted.
