“We're looking for people that want to come in and develop markets or have multiple stores so they can run it as a business,” said Mills. “You don't necessarily have to have a restaurant background, although it certainly helps.”

Alongside business acumen, successful franchisees need to share a passion for the emerging brand’s expansion. 

“We want franchisees that want to be a part of the CHOP5 community, that want to be a part of something special that's growing,” said Hertzman. “Having some kind of business knowledge and experience behind them, combined with this passion, can drive a franchisee towards success.”

Hardworking & Engaged

“I am a franchisee myself, so I know what you can do if you set your mind to it and put in the effort. I started off as a delivery driver. We all have a background and that background can help us as we move forward. We pick up skills and experience along the way,” said Mills. 

Even those new to the restaurant industry may find that their other experiences have built transferable skills, such as hard work. 

"Our ideal franchisee is very hardworking,” said Hertzman. “The concept requires a great deal of enthusiasm. It's active, it's engaging. It's very exciting. We want franchisees that love working in higher energy environments. CHOP5 is a business with a lot of energy behind it and it requires a lot of attention to detail to get it just right.”
