Woodworking Network: Closet & Storage Concepts’ President and CEO Recognized as Top Industry Leader

Woodworking Network includes Bob Lewis on its recently released list of the wood industry's market leaders.

Every year, Woodworking Network releases its list of the wood industry’s top market leaders. The list is made up of an elite group of woodworking professionals who successfully take on the challenges that are facing businesses in the industry today, and then use them to their advantage to ensure that their companies continue to thrive. Earning a spot on the annual ranking signifies strong leadership among the industry’s top brands. This year, Woodworking Network recognized Closet & Storage Concepts’ president and CEO Bob Lewis as one of those key leaders.

While he’s not personally a woodworker, Lewis has been instrumental in solidifying the multi-million dollar brand’s place at the forefront of the home organization industry. Since the acquisition of More Space Place in 2013, Closet & Storage Concepts has been rapidly growing in communities across the country. To date, the brand has approximately 40 franchise locations. Lewis credits that success to Closet & Storage Concepts’ passionate and hard-working team.

“It’s all about filling in gaps,” Lewis told Woodworking Network. “I try to identify my own gaps as a person and business owner—and fill the gaps in the organization by putting the right people in the right role. We’re also creating a culture that engenders people to feel good about what they do.”

Woodworking Network isn’t the only publication that has recognized both Lewis and Closet & Storage Concepts—the brand was also ranked number 16 on Franchise Times’ 2016 “Fast and Serious” list of the 40 smartest growing concepts with system-wide sales totaling over $40 million. And now that Closet & Storage Concepts is offering its franchisees the opportunity to open showroom-only locations without having to include a manufacturing component, the brand is positioned to see continued success in the months and years to come.
