Arby’s will start testing venison sandwiches by the end of the month in select markets, according to a recent CNBC article. The sandwich will feature a thick-cut venison steak that is 100% deer meat along with crispy onions and a berry sauce all on a toasted roll.

The sandwiches will only be available in select locations focused in the Minnesota, Michigan, and Pennsylvania areas, and according to the brand were selected in heavy deer hunting areas. The limited-time offer is a part of the “It’s Meats Season” campaign to celebrate the beginning of hunting season.

"Bringing venison to our menu also allows us to continue to set ourselves apart from the competition when it comes to proteins," said Rob Lynch, Arby's Brand President & Chief Marketing Officer. "You simply can't find this at other restaurant chains."
