Wanting to be your own boss doesn’t mean that you have to build your own business from scratch. The franchising industry offers entrepreneurs a way to become a part of a proven system that’s already in existence. And according to a recent CNBC article, it doesn’t have to break the bank.

The article notes that Franchise Business Review recently released a report of 80 concepts that boast low initial investments and the potential for a high ROI. Every brand listed in the report has a minimum investment that falls under $100,000, and has positive validation from its current franchisees. Brands that made the list include Baby Boot Camp, Amazing Athletes, Complete Weddings + Events, Sit Means Sit and Proforma. However, Stites notes that joining one of these brands as a franchisee doesn’t guarantee success without hard work.

“You’re investing in hopefully what is a proven business model. You’ve got a whole network of franchise owners doing the exact same business that you’re doing,” said Franchise Business Review CEO and managing director Eric Stites in an interview with CNBC Make It. He then added, “You still, as the business owner, have to go and make it all happen.”
