And bigger chains, like Wingstop, aren’t the only ones experiencing all the success.&nbsp;The 70-unit fast-casual wing franchise, <a href="https://www.wingzone.com/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=cnn-wing-franchises-are-seeing-significant-growth-amid-the-pandemic-2714027" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Wing Zone</a> is flourishing too. From March through September, the brand has seen a record-breaking sales increase of 25% — “the greatest sales surge we had in our 27-year history,” Wing Zone Co-Founder and CEO Matt Friedman told CNN.&nbsp;&nbsp;Friedman attributes the brand’s success to its delivery model and corporate’s support of franchisees. The brand has been offering delivery ever since it was launched in 1991, positioning itself early to endure a global pandemic and in-door dining shut-downs. To further strengthen the brand’s delivery efforts, Wing Zone has repurposed marketing dollars to support individual locations.
