Columbus Business First: Your Pie Aims to Put the “Casual” Back in Fast-Casual

Atlanta-based fast casual pizza concept Your Pie will be opening in Columbus, brought to the community by husband-wife team Matt and Katy Iwaszkiewicz.

“Our guest experience is a little different,” said Ken Caldwell, vice president of development. “We can be fast. You can come in and get a quick lunch. But we also have a model that invites customers in. It’s a comfortable place to hang out, enjoy a craft beer and some pizza.”

Your Pie has thrived with a commitment to freshness, tossing dough before customers eyes, topping it however they choose and delivering personalized, brick oven pizza to customers. The company tries to use locally sourced ingredients and stay true to the Founder's Italian roots.

Iwaszkiewicz is close to finalizing a lease in the Grandview neighborhood near Ohio State University. He hopes to open 3-5 Your Pie's eventually.

“There’s always opportunity in competition,” said Iwaszkiewicz, who is in the software business but also was a 10-year franchisee for Sport Clips*. “I think the number of other concepts helps raise awareness. That’s a benefit. People are going to have their favorites. I hope Your Pie is one of them.”
