Columbus Ledger-Enquirer: Buffalo Wings & Rings Eyes Columbus For New Stores

Buffalo Wings & Rings is looking to grow in Columbus, Georgia with multiple new locations.

Cincinnati-based Buffalo Wings & Rings has big plans for growth in the state of Georgia, specifically eyeing the Columbus market.

"We are kind of building what we call the I-75 corridor, from Michigan to Florida," Philip Schram, chief development officer of Buffalo Wings & Rings, told the Ledger-Enquirer reporter. "Columbus, Ga. is the size of city that we like a lot. We are very successful in cities that are between 50,000 and 200,000 in population."

Schram commented on how Columbus has the potential for multiple Buffalo Wings & Rings restaurants. Geared towards families rather than a party crowd, the restaurant offers well-prepared food and plenty of TV screens.

The menu features chicken wings and a wide variety of flavors. Besides the wings, there are burgers, sandwiches and gyros.

"Just to give you an example of where we are unique and better than the competition, we use the best quality of chicken tender," Schram told the reporter. "There is a product that is very popular, which is boneless wings. All of the competitors use frozen product, chicken that's processed into the shape of a wing. We take our tenders and cut them in half. It does not look exactly like a boneless wing, but when you eat it, it's a very superior product."
