Cosi to Develop Five Franchises in the Republic of Panama

The brand says the Central America expansion is part of its big plans for the rest of the year

Così Inc. recently entered into an agreement with Fast Casual Panamá S. de RL to develop five Così franchises in the Republic of Panama. Fast Casual Ltda., which is owned by the principals of Fast Casual Panamá S. de RL, own six Cosi franchises in Costa Rica and will be developing the Panamá franchises. Così President and CEO RJ Dourney said they are happy to be working with Fast Casual Ltda., for its Panamá expansion.

“They have been outstanding business partners since 2012, and together we see this as further establishing the foundation for Cosi to penetrate Central America and beyond in the years to come,” Dourney told Fast Casual.com. “Additionally, this is an important milestone in the execution of this year’s operating strategy."

Dourney said this year, the brand looks to drive restaurant traffic though brand initiatives and operating focus, growing its franchise system and strengthening its talent base.
