It was recently announced that&nbsp;<a href="http://www.mooyah.com/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=crains-dallas-mooyah-burgers-fries-shakes-builds-on-momentum-post-acquisition-12290" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">MOOYAH Burgers, Fries &amp; Shakes</a>, a Dallas-based better burger franchise, was acquired by an affiliate of Balmoral Funds LLC and Gala Capital Partners, LLC.

As was reported by Crain&#39;s Dallas, the brand has no plans to slow down - rather, the company is focused on improving existing locations while intelligently expanding their footprint. Discussions began in November 2016 and the deal was finalized in April 2017.

&ldquo;Our priority was making sure the franchisees would be in a great position to be successful. Employees would be able to retain their jobs and grow along with the brand,&quot; Michael Morales, CFO of Reach Restaurant Group, who negotiated the deal for the <a href="https://mooyah.1851franchise.com/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=crains-dallas-mooyah-burgers-fries-shakes-builds-on-momentum-post-acquisition-12290" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">MOOYAH</a> acquisition, told Crain&#39;s Dallas. &ldquo;It was a friendly deal. Our personalities jived really well. I don&rsquo;t imagine deals go as well as this one did.&rdquo;

As part of the strategy, the management team at MOOYAH will remain in place but they are looking for a a new headquarters office. The brand expects to open 15 to 20 new restaurants over the course of the next year.
