Since 1995, Best in Class Education Center has been dedicated to providing students around the country with superior supplemental education. From helping those who are particularly excited about math to those whose second language is English, Best in Class has long tailored its programs to meet the diverse needs of each of its students.

Srinivas Challagundla grew up in India, benefitting from his father’s own supplemental education assistance, and he recognized the value in such individualized attention. He has friends around the U.S. who have found success from sending their children to Best in Class, too. That’s why, this year, the 39-year-old is planning on opening the very first Best in Class Education Center in the state of Michigan, which is set to open in Farmington Hills this June.

After completing his Engineering degree in India, Challagundla took a job in information technology and has worked in his Detroit-based company’s energy department for ten years. More recently, he’s been hearing a lot about supplemental education from colleagues, community members and friends.

“While I was in school, my dad provided supplemental education to me and my cousins,” Challagundla explained. “I’ve always wanted to pass that on to my kids and thought it would be great to pass onto kids in our community, too, as well as create opportunity for teachers. Currently, the teacher to student ratio is shrinking, and so are budgets. So there’s been a lot of interest in supplemental education. With my background and personal experience, I’m excited to finally bring this to the eastern Michigan area."

Challagundla’s friends in Seattle and Texas have children attending Best in Class—all of which have seen the impact of Best in Class’ services firsthand. That’s why, when deciding to follow through with his dream of owning his own supplemental education business, he chose Best in Class as the best option for him.

“We now have nearly 50 locations across nine states in the U.S., and we’re thrilled to now be entering Michigan for the very first time,” said Sharon Peterson, director of franchise sales at Best in Class. “There’s a real need for our one-of–a-kind, customizable education services in the Midwest and across the country, and Challagundla is exactly what we were looking for in a partner.”

The new Farmington Hills, Michigan location marks a significant step forward in Best in Class’s strategic growth initiative and the brand’s plans to bring the individualized approach to supplemental education to every area of the country. With centers currently open in California, New Jersey, Ohio, Oregon, Washington, Texas, Florida, Maryland, and Nevada, Best in Class is confident that they will continue to evolve into a leading nationwide brand.

One of the most attractive features of the Best in Class franchise model is its affordability. Initial start-up costs range from $56,700 to $96,800 including the $30,000 franchise fee, and discounts are available for franchisees with education degrees as well as those who commit to opening multiple units.

“The population on the eastern side of the state of Michigan is continuing to grow, along with household incomes and parents who hold college degrees,” said Challagundla. “But it was the support from the Best in Class corporate team that has really made owning my own business easy and fulfilling. They’ve been with me every step of the way, and I look forward to serving the students and parents in Michigan very soon.”
