1. Frantastic: If you’ve ever struggled to limit your thoughts to Twitter’s 140-character limit, we have some Frantastic news for you. As you’ve probably noticed by now, the social media platform rolled out 280-character Tweets to almost all of its users. So far, it’s looking like reactions to the move are pretty mixed. Let us know if you’re #Team140 or #Team280 on Twitter!

2. Franlebrity: We’re calling out a whole group of Franlebrities this week—veterans. From franchisees to corporate teams and store level employees, there’s no shortage of military heroes involved with moving the franchising industry forward. And on Veterans Day, brands across the country celebrated their service. One brand in particular—Great Clips*—even rolled out a campaign with videos that highlight members of their system who have served their country or supported those who do.

3. Frash Money: Wendy’s is the latest brand to expand its delivery service in order to make more Frash Money. After experiencing success in cities like Columbus and Dallas, the brand is now teaming up with Door Dash to deliver to customers in 48 different markets. Its plan is to have delivery available at 2,500 locations by the end of the year. And Wendy’s is already looking ahead to 2018—it’s on track to have 75 percent of its system enabled for mobile ordering by the end of the first quarter next year.

4. Frant of the Week: Holidays and celebration days like Thanksgiving—which also happens to be Nick Powills’ birthday—are great days of reset and reflection. In his latest Frant, No Limit Agency*’s CEO explains the importance of evaluating how far you’ve come on these milestone days while looking ahead to what you want to accomplish in the future. Pausing to take a moment to be thankful can inspire you to keep moving forward. To check out the full column, head to 1851Franchise.com on Thanksgiving.

5. Franch Forward: Ruby’s Diner is making an effort to Franch Forward in the communities that it already calls home. The brand recently rolled out a hyper-local marketing strategy at three test locations to engage customers. Ruby’s Diner is hosting guest appreciation events that are specific to each restaurant, including bringing in children’s bands, raffles, make your own ice cream sundae parties and father-daughter date nights.

6. Fran Funny: What do you call a running turkey? Fast food.

7. Franspiration: “After a good dinner, one can forgive anybody, even one’s own relations.” – Oscar Wilde

8. Franemies vs. Frands: In the spirit of Thanksgiving, we’re calling out a few Frands this week. As a part of 1851’s annual list issue, we rounded up great franchises that have Thanksgiving food on their menus. The list isn’t out yet, but don’t worry—it’ll be published in full on Thanksgiving for anyone in need of a last-minute meal idea. A few of our suggestions include Togo’s, Which Wich, Slim Chickens, Panera Bread, McAlister’s Deli and Arby’s.
