NRN: McDonald’s Tests Breakfast Catering

The test is rolling out at 195 units in Central Florida

McDonald's is dipping its toe into catering.

According to Nation’s Restaurant News, the iconic fast-food franchise is testing its first-ever catering program at 195 units in Central Florida. The service, which is currently limited to breakfast items and hours, offers breakfast bundles and pre-selected catering trays.

Delivery for the service is facilitated through UberEats, the same partner McDonald’s has used for their first delivery programs, which rolled out at select restaurants over the past two years. Catering orders are also available for pick-up.

A spokesperson for McDonald’s said the catering program is only a test, for now, and the brand has not made any decisions on whether or not they will expand the program in the future.
