Detroit Free Press: Checkers & Rally's Plans to Open 60 Locations in Michigan

Michigan consumers are demanding more Checkers & Rally's.

Checkers* & Rally's is targeting Michigan for growth, with room to add 60 locations primarily in the Detroit area.
 
According to the Detroit Free Press, Checkers & Rally's is in high demand from Michigan consumers, who are fans of the flavorful, robust menu.
 
"We've been there for a long time, and our customers love us," Checkers & Rally's Director of Franchise Development, Bruce Kim told the Detroit Free Press. "In Detroit, you have a lot of our customer base: Value customers, meat-and-potatoes folks, a nice working-class crowd that likes a good burger. For $5, you get more bang for your buck than from anybody else."
 
The growth that Checkers & Rally's has observed in Michigan is also fueled by motivated franchisees, such as Paul Amell who opened his first Detroit area location nine years ago and has no plans to stop.
 
"Detroit is an exciting place to do business," Paul Amell told the Detroit Free Press. "It is on a rebound."
