DoorDash Plugs Subscription Service With Weeklong Free Delivery Initiative

The DashPass free trial gives users unlimited free delivery on orders of $15 or more for a week.

Beginning October 4, DoorDash is incentivizing fans of the mobile food delivery platform to join its new subscription model DashPass with a week of free delivery. The limited-time promotion aims to give users a taste of the benefits a subscription provides and can be activated online or in the DoorDash app.

An article in FSR Magazine detailed the courier service’s latest attempt to shake up the restaurant industry as we know it, explaining that DashPass was launched in August 2018 as a $9.99-per-month subscription service where users pay $0 in delivery fees on orders of $15 or more. In an introductory blog post, DoorDash noted that a DashPass membership pays for itself with just three orders per month, and you can cancel anytime, no strings attached.
