The beverage and donut brand is heralding the June 7 holiday with a free sweet treat when customers buy their favorite drink.

“For National Donut Day 2019, Dunkin’ is declaring that a day for donuts is a day for America by rallying everyone to “Dunk Out” with a donut and enjoy a little more “me time” during their day,” according to an article on QSR. The June 7 holiday will be welcomed by Dunkin’ via a one-day promotion wherein “guests a free classic donut of their choice with the purchase of any beverage,” the article said.
“National Donut Day was originally established in 1938 by the Chicago Salvation Army to honor women who served donuts to soldiers during World War I. The holiday is traditionally celebrated on the first Friday of June. Dunkin' has been serving guests signature donuts for nearly 70 years,” said the article.
