To celebrate, father and son franchisee duo Jamal and Abdul Hamideh gave away free Slim Chickens to the first 100 people in line. 
 
This is Jamal and Abdul&#39;s second Slim Chickens location and they have nine IHOP locations. 
 
&quot;We decided we were going to go ahead with Slim Chickens because of the culture of the company,&quot; Abdul told the Edinburg Review reporter.&nbsp; 
 
Choosing the Valley for the new location was a no-brainer once Abdul met the local community. The father and son duo have plans to open five locations in the Rio Grande Valley.
