The very nature of the franchise industry makes it an attractive career for veterans after they serve, and franchise concepts like Omaha-based <a href="http://www.signal88franchise.com/?utm_source=1851franchise.com&utm_medium=article&utm_campaign=entrepreneur-the-service-industry-why-veterans-are-flocking-to-the-franchise-world-2704722" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Signal 88 Security</a> have found success in providing a great opportunity for vets both as franchisees and employees. In a recent article in Entrepreneur Magazine, they noted that according to the International Franchise Association, 14 percent of franchisees are veterans. 

&quot;The franchise model works for veterans because you join back into that close-knit camaraderie we&#39;re used to,&quot; Brian Hannon, Operations Manager for the Signal 88 Security franchise in Sarasota, Florida, owned by franchisee Tim Robinson, told Entrepreneur. 

Veteran-owned franchise businesses are 30 percent more likely to hire fellow veterans, according to a VetFran survey.
