Kerry Olson has joined Faegre Baker Daniels as a partner in the firm’s international franchise practice in Minnesota. She’s coming on board after serving as the executive vice president and global general counsel of Carlson Hotels, Inc.

Faegre Baker Daniels is eager to welcome Olson to its team because of her expertise and passion to help companies plan for growth, manage risk, promote their brands and experience success. In addition to working for Carlson Hotels, Inc., Olson has in-house experience at brands like International Dairy Queen and Buffalo Wild Wings, Inc. She also is a past chair of the International Franchise Association Women’s Franchise Committee and Legal Legislative Committee.

Brian Schnell, who leads FaegreBD’s franchise practice, said in a release, “Few attorneys have the combined experience and knowledge from both an in-house and law firm perspective as Kerry. Her ability to utilize her legal expertise and experience advising CEOs and executives is invaluable to our clients as we help them identify new opportunities and overcome challenges at every stage of growth to achieve their desired strategic outcomes.”
