Famous Dave&#39;s, the 24-year-old fan-favorite barbecue franchise, got a new look and taste at the Coon Rapids, Minnesota location.&nbsp;

&quot;Were getting back to our roots and I just think that is something that we needed to get back to,&quot; the founder of Famous Dave&#39;s, Dave Anderson, told Franchise Times.

As part of the refresh, the core menu items will stay but the brand will also be testing new menu items to potentially add to the menu. Some of these newer items include the chicken and waffles, jumbalaya&nbsp;and the Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner. In total, the brand has 20 items in test.

&quot;We&#39;ve kind of been stuck in the mud for the past 10 years, as other restaurants were moving quickly and doing a refresh every five years, were just a little behind. So we&#39;re going to try to fast forward and get with the times,&quot; Famous Dave&#39;s CEO Jeff Crivello&nbsp;told Franchise Times. &quot;You can see where we&#39;re at with this, we changed the vibe and changed the energy.&quot;
