Fast Casual: Blaze pizza sales on fire with 51% increase over previous year

The franchise will expand both internationally and domestically in 2018, opening roughly 87 new locations.

Blaze Fast-Fire'd Pizza is experiencing massive growth, and showing no signs of slowing down. According to a recent article in Fast Casual, the brand has reported an over 50 percent increase in sales in 2017 compared to 2016.

Over the course of the year, the franchise opened a total of 66 new restaurants both domestically and in Canada. This rapid momentum was seen in same-store sales, which were up by a whopping 3.7 percent.

"We spent our first five years in business refining our restaurant model and building out the infrastructure and franchise network to support our rapid growth. Today, we have the people, processes and systems in place to achieve our goal of becoming a billion-dollar brand by our tenth birthday," said CEO Jim Mizes.

Blaze will position itself for continued success by embracing technology and delivery opportunities. The brand seeks to refine its online ordering platform, upgrade its mobile app and provide a more polished loyalty member experience.

In 2018, the franchise expects to grow both domestically and internationally, with an estimated 87 planned openings. The brand is set to open its first locations in Kuwait, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia this year.
