Fast Casual: Caliburger launches global growth initiatives implementing robots, kiosks

The franchise embraces technology and innovation in order to further its expansion.

Caliburger may be coming to an area near you. According to a recent article in Fast Casual, the franchise is focused on expansion both domestically and internationally. New locations set to open in 2018 will launch within the Middle East, Asia, Latin America and the United States.

One way that the brand will achieve this growth is through the integration of kiosks, designed to streamline the ordering process. The brand will continue to embrace technology by utilizing a robot called Flippy, which specializes in flipping burgers, at several locations. CaliBurger will not stop there, as it intends to continue to build on the experience through its own tech.

"Every new CaliBurger restaurant is being designed with an eye toward implementation of the technologies being developed by Cali Group's affiliated companies. Our goal in the next 12 to 24 months is to begin deploying the unified Cali Group C-Visiontechnology platform, where the entire restaurant — from front of the house to back of the house — is operated from one app on a single tablet," said COO Jonathan Wong.
