Fast Casual: Chipotle Launches Online Tool to Help Customers ‘Make Calories Count’

Chipotle helps customers eat healthier in the new year and customize meals based on dietary needs.

With a new year rolling in and resolutions on the brain, Chipotle is helping customers reach their healthy eating goals in 2017. According to a recent Fast Casual article, Chipotle has launched an online tool to help its customers count the calories of ingredients they may choose for their meals and to make those calories count. The dietary options site shows which ingredients fit certain dietary needs in order for customer to build their own customized meal.

"Many New Year's resolutions involve a pledge to live a more active and healthy lifestyle," Mark Crumpacker, chief marketing and development officer at Chipotle, said in the release. "And our dietary options page can help you keep your New Year’s resolution this year. The tool makes it easy to customize your meal with fresh ingredients from our everyday menu so you can stay on track with your goals."

The site will suggest healthy ingredient combinations based on a nutrition calculator and an individual’s personal health plan. Whether you are gluten-free, paleo, vegan or would like to eat less fat, less sodium or less carbs, the site can help you choose your meal.
