Chipotle just released its fourth quarter numbers, and they show mixed results. While the chain reported that its revenue climbed by 3.7 percent to $1 billion, comparable restaurant sales declined 4.8 percent and net income dropped from $67.9 million to $16 million.

Despite the report, Chipotle’s CEO Steve Ellis says the brand is focused on long-term growth. In a press release, he said, “Returning to our roots of what originally made Chipotle great has helped refocus all of our strategies toward the guest experience.”

In order to get the brand back on track, Chipotle is planning on launching three strategic initiatives. To improve performance, the chain will simplify and improve restaurant operations, use creative marketing campaigns and tactics to rebuild the Chipotle brand and introduce even more digital sales efforts.
