Fast Casual: Creamistry opening in Texas

The Friendswood opening will be the first of three planned locations for franchisee Salim Qadri.

Creamistry is coming to Friendswood, Texas.

According to a recent article in Fast Casual, the ice cream brand is planning to open a new location in the Houston suburb next month. It will be the first of three planned locations for franchisee Salim Qadri. The other two stores are estimated to open within two years.

"We couldn’t be more excited about this partnership. Salim is a hardworking individual with whom we share the same values. He will play an instrumental role in further establishing our brand in the local marketplace," said founder Jay Yim.

Though Creamistry was founded in 2013, the concept traces its origins back to 2003 when Yim was on a visit to South Korea. His experience with a local street vendor creating liquid nitrogen ice cream inspired him to integrate the technique into his own business.
