Fast Casual: Food Network TV star launching fast casual concept?

Giada De Laurentiis has been a popular television personality and chef on the Food Network for years. According to a recent article in Fast Casual, the celebrity chef is planning to launch a new fast casual pasta concept.

De Laurentiis will be testing out ideas at a pop-up location in New York City later in the month. The location will feature rigatoni with pork ragout, fusilli with lemon and pea alfredo, an arugula salad with pancetta and Parmesan and gelato.

"I've always wanted to do a fast casual pasta concept, and so in the vein of trying things, I thought it'd be fun since I'm in New York anyway [for NYC Food & Wine] to do a little pasta pop-up," she said.
