Fast Casual: Fork & Salad signs franchising agreement with Fransmart

With consumers adopting more health-conscious dining preferences, fast casual chain Fork & Salad is primed to expand to the mainland.

As the demand for healthy dining options continues to grow, more and more brands within the sector are taking to leap into franchising. According to a recent article in Fast Casual, Hawaiian chain, Fork & Salad, will be one of the latest brands to do so. The company has signed an agreement with Fransmart that will allow it to bring locations to the continental United States.

"In the franchise world, the next big opportunity for a concept to grow larger than 1,000 locations is healthy fast-casual," said Fransmart CEO, Dan Rowe. The executive discovered the brand on a vacation to Maui when he happened to drive past the grand opening event. He noted that there was something special about the brand and that it had potential in the healthy fast casual space.

Fork & Salad was founded in 2016 and has found success through its health conscious and diverse menu. The brand offers 50 unique menu items ranging from salads and sandwiches to teas and gluten-free items. According to Rowe, the brand's speed coupled with a "genuine Hawaiian soul" makes the emerging franchise one to watch.
