Fast Casual: Gyroville sells 3rd franchise unit

The Mediterranean brand has sold a corporate location to a franchise industry veteran.

In just a decade, Gyroville has grown to 10 locations. According to a recent article in Fast Casual, the brand has completed its third franchise agreement, transferring ownership of a previously corporate-owned restaurant to franchisee Anthony Nohra.

The transfer of ownership occurred at the Mediterranean brand's Fort Lauderdale, Florida location. Nohra, a veteran of the franchise industry, was drawn to the customer service model offered by Gyroville after years of operating a self-serve frozen yogurt shop.

"The Gyroville model allows customers to come in, order what they want, have it prepared fresh and right in front of them while also developing a rapport with the person making their meal. I missed making those connections, and I am looking forward to developing more relationships with my guests at Gyroville," he said.

Lambros Kokkinelis, CEO of Gyroville, looks forward to witnessing Nohra's success with the location. With the purchase of the Fort Lauderdale restaurant, the brand is venturing further into the franchise industry. Kokkinelis said that the brand is interested in opening more franchised locations if the opportunity presents itself.
