Melt Shop's King of Prussia, Pennsylvania location is under new ownership. According to a recent article in Fast Casual, it will now be owned and operated by the brand's first U.S. franchisee, Drew Smith. This will be the first of 22 planned locations that Smith will assume leadership over.

Though he is new to Melt Shop, Smith is a seasoned franchise industry veteran. He is currently a multi-unit operator for Five Guys, owning over 20 locations.

"One of the key fundamentals of our franchise program is to find the right partners and make sure they succeed. With this transition, Drew and his team will have the right tools and recourses. They'll learn the ins and outs of Melt Shop, effectively cutting their learning curve in half, inherit an experienced team and be more effective in building the brand," said COO Josh Morgan.
